I have been privileged to join a contingent of dope artists on a pilgrimage to Sarah Lawrence University in New York! The homey Katiana has set up this great conference where will do political education workshops and performances! My sister from another mister and future blog collaborater Belinda will also be doing a workshop. I will also be selling my new e.p. "The In Between" !!! Saturday April 3rd Workshops Begin @ 9am Open Mic and Performances in Reisinger begin @ 9:30pm Join Us A day dedicated to the education and exploration of systems of oppression related to race, gender, sexuality, cycles of violence, social representations and more!
We will focus on institutions, interpersonal relations and the internal self. Through writing, discussion and information we will take risks and say YES to forward movement!
Build Community Stretch Yourself Workshops lead by artists from Coast to Coast To close the night out we will hear from the various artists/facilitators hailing from the

Osborn Shoes

I was put up on these wonderful shoes by Jenna's( my boo.lol) coworker.lol. I then put fashionista and one of my fav virgos Layidua(http://laaficionada.blogspot.com/)on to them and she posted them, which reminded me to post them! That was a round-about way of saying these shoes are dope.lol. The company is a husband and wife team who work with local artisans in Guatemala. The shoes can get a little expensive, but for handmade, sustainable, and fair trade merch. you can't go wrong. Go to the site frequently or join mailing list;shoes seem to sell out fast, at least in my size dammit! lol.

Maxwell And Jill Scott Join Forces For US Tour!!!

Maxwell and Jill Scott are going on a 20 city tour starting in May! I can't wait! You know I am there. This is going to be a great concert, real music at its best. These are two artist who have the type of careers I aspire to have. I have never seen Maxwell perform, but of course he is wonderful. This will be my fourth time seeing Jill.lol..She's awesome live! So, please join me and support real music, wish I was opening for them :)
